About

Rafael is the first interactive platform offering information and discussion on the long-term effects of COVID-19. It is a digital platform, including a chatbot, aimed at the general public and health professionals that provides information and answers to questions about post-COVID symptoms.

The website offers general information about post-COVID condition, also called long COVID. It can tell you about complications, the known persistent symptoms and how to handle them (investigations, treatments, rehabilitation) and the potential social impact. It was created in response to a lack of information about the consequences of this disease, for which there remain many unknowns and uncertainties.

The website has a chatbot, which can give immediate answers to the most frequently asked questions. If the chatbot is not able to provide an answer, the question will be sent to the moderator team, who will contact the user within 24-48 hours.
Recurring questions and ongoing studies will change and feed into the information available on the platform. It will be regularly updated and thus will help to build an ever better understanding of the progression of post-COVID symptoms.

The platform is funded by the private foundation of the Geneva University Hospitals (HUG) and by Promotion Santé Suisse. The translation in English was provided by the United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR).
